A priest may be enrolled at any day of the year just by contacting the Confraternity.
He has to send a proof that he is a validly ordained priest in the Roman Catholic Church or any of the Eastern Catholic Churches in union with the Church of Rome. He will provide contact information about himself and his local ordinary, whether his bishop, vicar general, vicar forane, vicar for clergy, general superior, provincial superior, abbot or prior.
The priest may embrace the spirituality of the Confraternity as soon as he has made contact with the Confraternity. The Confraternity will then send the priest a copy of the Act of Oblation. He may choose a particular feast day of his own choosing, close to the date of his enrollment, make his Act of Oblation, date it, sign it and send it to the Confraternity to be filed and inscribed in the Book of Enrollment to the Confraternity.
Members of the Confraternity enjoy the spiritual benefits of being a part of the Confraternity and all the fruits of the daily prayers and self-oblation of the confreres. Every member of the Confraternity is to celebrate one Mass a month for all the living and deceased members of the Confraternity.
The Book of Self-Oblation to Jesus, Merciful Priest, a companion for every enrolled confrere, will be sent to the priest as soon as the Confraternity receives his Oblation.
The Act of Oblation to Jesus, Our Merciful Priest, is renewed every year on the evening of Holy Thursday after the Mass of the Lord’s Supper, during the period of adoration accompanying our Lord in His self-oblation to the Father’s will and in imitation to the Beloved Disciple, leaning his head on the Merciful Heart of the Master.
